Nescafe KP10040 Dolce Gusto Pod Coffee Machine by Krups
This week I purchased an Espresso machine. Now I don’t know a lot about coffee I normally open a jar of instant Nescafe granules add two spoonfuls to a mug, and add milk, job done! However this week I have become obsessed with bringing myself up to speed on the espresso coffee making process. I hadn’t realised how easy it was to experience a cup of coffee in my own home that tasted as though it was from Costa or Starbucks.
The Espresso machine I chose was the Nescafe Dolce Gusto bought for £91.99 from Argos reduced from £119.00. I have to say I like it a lot! So much so that when I was in an elevator at work the other day I announced how this machine had changed my life…Unsurprisingly I got some strange looks.
Ease of Use: plug it in wait for it to go green add a pod and then push a lever! I haven’t descaled it yet though which I believe has to be done every six months. There is a little pin supplied to help with this process. Also very easy to keep clean.
Disadvantages: Reviews online mention how expensive it is to buy the coffee pods! And some have to be ordered online. I have to agree re-fills
are a little on the pricey side but hey buying one cappuccino in a coffee shop is going to cost you three quarters of sixteen espresso’s! You also get a free box of pods when you register your machine. You can’t currently recycle the pods.
Benefits: Amazing taste! Creamy and yummy, It also saves a little time (how long does it take to make a cup of coffee not long I
know! But with the Nescafe Gusto it makes it that little bit quicker! Come on we all live busy lives right? every minute counts) It also looks nice a bit futuristic maybe but we are in the 21st century. I ran it against the electric metre and the Gusto machine costs approximately 15p per hour against the standard kettle which is 31p per hour.
Just a whim?: Absolutely not, Gusto will be in my kitchen this time next year! and will be perfect when entertaining.
Tips: I believe everyone who buys this product will try and get two cups of coffee out of one pod this is because there is a feeling of wastefulness when disposing of the pods! Sadly it doesn’t work and you won’t experience such a great cup of coffee. Don’t try this at home.
Check out the website and get yourself some iced peach Nestea and iced cappuccino’s!
